[TUTORIAL] Fashion finish for leather edge, using metal gloss

If you want to create a metal leather edge, you must follow a well defined procedure. To get this specific finish you must proceed with two different applications:

1. Base color;
2. Metal gloss. Let’s see some example

Silver Leather Edge Fashion Finish:

1. Apply black color;
   
2. apply the silver metal gloss.
   

Gold Leather Edge Fashion Finish

1. Apply ochre color;
   
2. apply the gold metal gloss.
   

The standard metal finish is available in 6 colors:

• Bronze;
• Gold;
• Green;
• Blue;
• Violet;
• Silver

How to create a silver metal edge

You need:

• Black color;
• Silver metal gloss;
• Edge paint applicator.
  

Instructions:

1. Apply the black color on the leather edge. You can chose among basic, semidense or dense edge paint;
   
2. Let it dry completely, it will takes around 30 minutes at room temperature;
3. Once it’s completely dried, apply the silver metal gloss;
   
4. Let it dry completely. In this case, the drying time is a little bit longer, about 45 minutes at room temperature.

Extra tips

Metal gloss contains metal powders, that deposits on the bottle floor. Stir well before proceed with the application.

If you are working with a large width leather edge or if you want a big consistency leather edge, you can use the basecoat dense, before proceeding with metal finish.
