How to restore your Leather Bag: Before and After

Posted by Enrico Giardini on Sep 15, 2017 1:35:36 PM

With this blog post we want to share with you some tips on how to restore an aged leather
item.

We all have a leather bag, wallet, belt, or any other leather item that we love, but desperately needs to be restored.

That's why, we decided to share with you what happened the other day at Giardini. Rachele, Chief edge paint advisor, brought one of her favorite bags ( that should be retired but she loves)  at work.

As you can see from the picture above, the leather edge on this purse it's very ruined and the most part of the paint is no longer present.

In order to not give up to her favorite bag, Rachele asked our lab to use their experience and knowledge to try to bring the purse back to its original glow.

Technicians are really confident in Giardini's products so they accepted the challenge.

Wanna know how they won this challenge? Just follow these simple steps:

- Light sanding to remove the old paint

- 1 coat of our Basecoat

- Light sanding

- Second coat of Basecoat

- 1 coats of Black Dense edge paint

What do you think about the final result?

Isn't it great?  Rachele is super happy about the final result and you? Let us know your opinion!
